In late September, the Rheinland area of West Germany transforms into an autumn wonderland. The vineyards along the Ahr come alive during these 5 weekends starting from the last weekend of September. You can hike along the trail, the starting point independent to how much you want to walk along the trail to Altenahr, where the festival takes place. You will be blessed with gorgeous views of the mountains and the little towns along the way, as well as some fresh and tasty wine, from the vineyards you pass by.
